Previous teams featured were Mulberry, Landmark Christian and Vanguard School (Friday); Haines City, Santa Fe Catholic and Tenoroc (Saturday); Lakeland Christian, Lake Gibson and Lake Wales (Sunday); Auburndale, Frostproof and Winter Haven (Monday); Bartow, Fort Meade and George Jenkins (Wednesday); and Ridge Community, Lake Region and Victory Christian (Thursday). The series continues today. Kathleen Red Devils 2008 Record: 5-5 2008 Postseason: n/a Spring game: Friday at Winter Haven, 7 p.m. 2009 District: Class 4A-8 (Bartow, Haines City, Lake Gibson, Lake Region, Ridge Community) Spring standouts: RB Javier Maturin (Jr.), RB Terry Bentley (So.), LB Andrew Jackson (Sr.), LB Gionni Paul (Jr.), WR Vic McClendon Quick hits: The Red Devils are planning to get a more balanced attack on offense with Maturin and Bentley at running back and a more experienced offensive line, coach Irving Strickland said … Isaac O'Neal is the starting quarterback, though Strickland said there are formations where Terrick Colston could see action under center … Chad Abrams and Victor Troutman are having good springs at cornerback … "We're a lot stronger than we were last year," Strickland said.
