Inexperience on the offensive line caused for some growing pains all season long last year. It was evident more on the rushing attack as the Red Devils finished last in the county in that category. The young offensive line group will be returning again for the 2009 season, but will have a year under their belt.

Trey Clark has been the most vocal of the group, but offensive line coach, Leon Simmons, talked about some silent leaders that are beginning to emerge out of the group. He mentioned some players stepping up during spring workouts and during weight room sessions and hopes it will carry over into the fall.

Kathleen only lost one player on the offensive line from last year and sophomore Adam Schertzer will be filling in the position at right guard. However, Coach Simmons was quick to say that he did not have a set five and that all positions would be up for grabs in hopes of getting the lineman to continue working hard and pushing each other to get better.

With the offensive line being one of the most important positions in football it will be critical that the group improves over last season if the Red Devils are to put themselves back on top of the district.
