Junior, Isaac O'Neal, returns as the signal caller for the Red Devils and will bring a year of experience under his belt. Quarterbacks Coach, Bill Hill, has been impressed with O'Neal's improvement since the 2008 season ended.

"During the spring he practiced well, made better reads, showed signs of maturity and has tried to become more of a leader," Coach Hill said. Isaac O'Neal was one of the top quarterbacks in the county last season despite being only a sophomore.

Junior, Terrick Colston, will be available as another option incase O'Neal goes down to injury. He may also be used in specific packages to throw opposing defenses off their gameplans. Coach Hill likes Colston's playmaking abilities and it was evident last fall what he could do if given the opportunity.

Coach Hill has some things that he would like Isaac to work on over the summer period heading into the fall. "Isaac will always have things he can improve on to get to the level that I think he can achieve," Coach Hill said. "Right now I want him to just continue to improve his arm strength, quarterback mechanics and continue to watch more game film and studying the game." Coach Hill also talked about wanting Isaac to continue to study defensive coverages and creating a stronger bond with his wide receivers.

All of those improvements will be important if the team is reclaim another district championship under the leadership of Isaac O'Neal as quarterback.
